Ruaraka Constituency is one of the 17 Constituencies in Nairobi County, Kenya. Ruaraka Constituency’s common borders are with Embakasi North Constituency to the East and South, Kasarani and Roysambu Constituencies North while Mathare Constituency is to the West.
Member of Parliament is Hon. Tom Joseph Kajwang
It covers a total area of 7.2.Square Kilometers. Ruaraka Constituency is divided into five Wards namely: Lucky Summer, Mathare North, Korogocho,Utalii and Baba Dogo. The Wards are further sub-divided into six locations namely; Mathare 4A, Utalii, Mathare North, Babadogo, Korogocho, Gitathuru and Lucky Summer.
It is an electoral constituency in Kenya and is one of the (17) constituencies in Nairobi City County. Under National Government, Ruaraka Constituency is represented in parliament by a Member of the National Assembly while the Sub County is headed by the Sub County Administrator under devolved government and Assistant County Commissioners, Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs representing the National Government. There are five (5) elected Members of County Assembly representing the five Wards
